Justice Mail Action 19th December 2013

Dear Justice Mail Friends

Israel is one of the most heavily militarised states on earth. It is the single largest exporter of drones in the world, responsible for 41% of all UAVs exported between 2001 and 2011. Israeli companies, such as Elbit and Israel Aerospace Industries are happy to market their equipment globally as ‘field tested’ in ‘real life situations’, that is, in Gaza.

War on Wants requests that we ask Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy to take action to end European subsidies to Israeli arms companies. The link is below.

Justice Mail Action 7th December 2013

Dear Justice Mail Friends

Two weeks on from Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the British public have responded with incredible generosity, donating over £50 million to the Disasters Emergency Committee so far.

Yet the shocking truth is that the same amount of money leaves the Philippines in debt payments every three and a half days.

Let’s call on the World Bank and other international lenders to drop the Philippines’ debt now

In fact, since the typhoon struck on 8 November, the Philippines has spent more than £230 million paying off overseas debts. And it will spend a total of £5 billion this year.

Follow the link below to petition the President of the World Bank and other financial leaders.  Jesus campaigned for the forgiveness of debts and so should we!
