Justice Mail Action 16 Jan 2014

Dear Justice Mail Friends

On 20th December 2013 the Ugandan Parliament passed a bill introducing lifetime imprisonment for adults in same-sex relationships.  Only the President of Uganda has the power to prevent this legislation from passing into law, but he must exercise his veto before the end of January or the bill automatically becomes law.  Please use the link below to write to His Excellency President Museveni

In taking this action, you will be affirming the right of all men and women to be treated with dignity and respect.

Yours faithfully for Justice Mail,

Justice Mail Action 7th January 2014

Dear Justice Mail Friends

Payday lenders are ripping off millions of people, trapping them in spirals of debt. We need proper regulation and enforcement to make this stop. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published new proposals for regulating payday lenders. They are a step in the right direction, but they don’t go far enough

This is why, together with some of Britain’s biggest debt, consumer and anti-poverty organisations – including Which?, Citizens Advice and Stepchange – and a cross-party group of MPs, Church Action on Poverty  are calling for the FCA to back the Charter to Stop the Payday Loan Rip-off. You can obtain the details of this Charter on the Church Action on Poverty website.

Use the link below to ask your MP to back the Charter.
