Justice Mail Action 29 April 2015

Dear Justice Mail Friends,

The government says Britain has no money. It is cutting billions from public spending on health care, education, welfare and services and devastating peoples’ lives. Yet at the same time it is spending billions every year on nuclear weapons and plans to spend over £100 billion on a replacement for the Trident nuclear weapons system.

CND writes it is time to comply with our obligation under international law to accomplish the total elimination of our nuclear arsenal. By doing so we would send a message to the world that spending for peace and development and meeting people’s real needs is our priority, not spending on weapons of mass destruction.

Use CND link below to sign their petition to the government.

Justice Mail Action 13th April 2016

Dear Justice Mail Friends,

It’s time to stop big companies dodging tax: corporate tax dodging is unfair, it keeps developing countries trapped in poverty.

We all pay our tax. But companies like Amazon, Google and Starbucks can get away without paying what they owe.

Local authorities spend many billions on goods and services from private companies each year. That means they are in a powerful position to insist on minimum ethical standards from companies.

Use the Christian Aid link below to ask your local councillor(s) to champion tougher questions from your council to the companies that it does business with.
