Justice Mail Action 24 November 2017

Dear Justice Mail Friends,

Local councils across the UK are investing £16 billion in the fossil fuel industry. That’s £16 billion of public money fuelling the climate crisis, and propping up the fossil fuel companies responsible.

Use the Friend of the Earth/Fossil Free UK link below to ask councils to divest their pension funds from companies who are driving the climate crisis, and instead work for a transition to a just, renewable future.

Email your councillors now and ask them to take action for divestment.

Cheers

Letter From Justice Mail Chair

Dear JusticeMail List Managers,

Having just shared our experiences of campaigning through Justice Mail for 2017, I wanted to send a huge thank you for your work to help Christians to engage is social justice campaigning as an important part of putting our faith in action.

Although it can be hard to make the time to campaign, we have been part of many and varied successful campaigns together.

I am reminded and encouraged again that our voices can and should be heard for and on behalf of those who are ignored, overlooked or oppressed. A few minutes per week really does make a difference!
With our lists steadily growing and our Facebook and Twitter pages gaining more profile, we look forward to 2018 and helping others to become #Campaigning Christians with us.

Yours faithfully,
Zoe Heming

Justice Mail Action 6th November 2017

Dear Justice Mail Friends,

The illegal occupation of Palestinian territory by Israel, as defined by international humanitarian law and condemned under UN resolutions, marked 50 years in June 2017. A third and even fourth generation of Palestinians and Israelis have been born into a situation in which violence and injustice are commonplace.

Please use the Cafod link below to email your MP and ask them to call on Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, to put the UK government’s weight behind a renewed peace process.
